Dear students, in order to successfully complete the registration procedures and adjusting to university life, please refer to this guide and be well prepared.

  

I. Online Registration

Once the online registration has been completed, students could check their student ID, class, check-in process, register location, dormitory and course supervisors arrangements, etc.

1.Registration date: From September 25th.

2.Type of student: all the freshmen.

3.Registration method: scan the QR code for freshman registration page.

4.Registration devices: mobile phone or Pad, for the convenience of facial recognition.

5.Username for registration: Number of student’s JW202 form (please consult CIE teacher and acquire the number).

6.Initial password for registration: the last six digits of students’ passport number.

II. On-site check-in

1.Students types: International freshmen inside China mainland (students from middle and high-risk areas could not check-in)

2.Pre-check-in checklist

·Be fully aware your student ID number, class, dormitory number.

·Original copies of passport, diploma and transcript; on-site inspection required.

·Original copy of HSK examination results (Chinese-taught program students only); on-site inspection required.

·Complete the information form for new students online under the guidance of CIE teachers; submission on site.

·Complete the application form for the China Construction Bank card under the guidance of CIE teacher, print 2 copies and sign; submission on site.

·Medical report, if any;

·4 ID photos;

·Prepare your own dormitory bedding;

·Accommodation fee:1200 yuan; to be paid when check-in with mobile phone.

III. About Late Registration

1. Freshman inside China who is unable to register on-site on time for any reasons shall submit a written application for late registration to the school with relevant certification materials. After the school’s approval, the registration can be postponed; or will be treated as absenteeism. Please note that the postponement period shall not exceed two weeks; those who are exceeding the time limit will be considered as giving up their admission.

2. Freshman outside China who is unable to register online in two weeks will also be considered as giving up their admission.

  

IV. Class starting date and supervisors arrangements

1. Class starting date for all freshmen is Monday, October 12th. Classes begin at 8:15 p.m.

Note: The advanced mathematics course of the English-taught program starts on September 21st, and the Chinese course of the Chinese-taught program starts on September 28th.

2. Each school has arranged supervisors for all the freshmen. Supervisors will guide the students’ study plan throughout the 4-year study period. The arrangement of supervisors can be viewed at the registration system from September 25.  

  

V. Campus life

1. Campus ID Card

Students can purchase a meal at the school canteen with the card.

Recharge method: manual recharge, self-service machine recharge, perfect campus mobile phone APP recharge.

2. Bank card

Once the application form has been submitted to CIE, the bank card shall be collected and activated at the bank; CIE will notify students time and location. Students need to bring their passports, admission notice and other materials to the designated bank. After activation through WeChat or Construction Bank app, you may open e-bank of CCB. Campus ID card can be recharged through CCB e-bank.

3. Dormitory air conditioner

Rented by semester or academic year. Students in one room need to share the rent. Price: 400 yuan per semester, 600 yuan per year, 1650 yuan for 4 years.

4. Dormitory bedding (self-purchased or recommended by the university)

Ordering method: freshmen who wish to purchase the recommended package can scan the QR code, follow 3651 le life Official Accounts, click on the new students enrolled to complete real-name certification. After entered the living supplies interface, pay online. Pick them up with online payment voucher when check-in at the dorm on registration day. If the goods students purchased were defective, no return will be made. Subscription deadline: September 30, 2020.

6. Personal e-mail

SUES will open an e-mail box for each freshman, and students will need to open a personal email address before using it.

How to use it: Please log on to the home page of the campus e-mail address after October 12 (http://mail.sues.edu.cn) and click on Certified Registration to enter your account number and password (the account number is the student ID number and the password is the unified authentication password). The uniform authentication password for first-time students is the last six digits of the passport number, and if the password is modified, the modified password will prevail. Select Personal Account Number and enter Verification Code to complete the opening. The post-opening mailbox is the student ID number, for example 021108101@sues.edu.cn. Students can log in to the mailbox, click on the Settings and Set Alias at the top of the page, and add an alias, such as zsww23, after which they can use the alias to log in to the mailbox, zsww23@sues.edu.cn.

7. Safety notification

It is forbidden to sell any kinds of charged items (including newspaper ordering, ordering dairy products, part-time jobs, etc.) to students on campus, in any way and for any reason. Furthermore, as dormitory is a public place, everyone is supposed to take good care of their own personal belongings, it is recommended to rent a safe box for storing personal valuables. Students are not recommended purchasing bicycles, as “shared bikes” are available on campus. Volunteer service is free of charge when freshmen report for university.
