From 15th to 17th September, offline student registration for Chinese Language Programs Fall 2020 completed at Changning campus. The smiles from students’ faces brought a touch of warmth in the chilly, rainy days. Everyone comes with bright expectation for the new semester, regardless of race, background, or language.   

SUES always adopt high entry threshold for language students and ensure the quality of enrollment. This semester, the Chinese Language Programs serve 153 students from the United States, France, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Ukraine, Mexico, Australia, Brazil, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and many other countries and regions. Student registration carried out smoothly in perfect order, with staff members and students exchanging warm greetings.

Special work plans and arrangements were deployed to ensure safety during the COVID-19 epidemic. Online classes will continue for the Fall semester, and the courses will be enriched with Shanghainese and a bunch of other Chinese culture courses offered. College of International Education strive for the best learning experience for every student, and assist them in achieving higher Chinese language proficiency plus cross-cultural competence. Taking a vital role in implementation of internationalization strategy of the University, the booming Chinese Language Programs would surely cultivate new opportunities for both students and the University.
